ONE FAMILY, ONE STORY

Alfredo Stola knows the meaning of fine sports cars . Not only has he inherited (from his family) a collection of distinguished cars from different time periods, but also he has learned the craft and gained in-depth knowledge that dates back to the last century.

In fact, his grandfather starts his own auto-body model workshop after working as a model-maker of large marine engines in an American ship foundry. He names the workshop after himself, “Alfredo Stola”.

It's the dawn of the automobile industry. During these years, an intense automobile trade begins in Turin .
The first “Alfredo Stola” workshop is built next to the “Lancia” plant on Via Issiglio, 38. While the company grows quickly, thanks to its excellent craftsmanship, a long-lasting friendship and esteem is born between Alfredo Stola and Vincenzo Lancia.

After the death of the founder in 1960, his three sons Giuseppe, Francesco and Roberto take the helm of the family company. The firm's market continues to grow, particularly abroad. However, the brothers take on different endeavors and establish new companies in the large sheet-metal sector.

During the next few years, the group upgrades its core business by acquiring the latest equipment and technology available at the time. This move is key in meeting the demands of a worldwide market. The value-added chain is completed by focusing on design, prototype manufacturing, and series production of metal bodies in Italy , Brazil and India .

In the late 1980s, Alfredo Stola promotes and directs the production of stylized models and prestigious concept cars for the most important automobile makers in the world. These concept cars carry on the tradition of quality Turin bodywork and give international visibility to the firm.
During these years Alfredo has the opportunity to meet and work with extraordinary personalities in the automobile sector.
One of them is Ferdinand Alexander Porsche in occasion of the manufacturing of the Cayenne style model for Porsche Design.
These three meetings will inspire the first project of STUDIOTORINO some years later.

Due to unfortunate family circumstances, Alfredo Stola makes the decision to hand over the family company in the spring of 2004.
With STUDIOTORINO , Alfredo combines his personal creativity, human and technological know-how in order to produce exclusive sport auto bodies that, just like show cars, which are destined to remain unique and unrepeatable, are entirely handcrafted and can satisfy the demands of every person.
